Waves Jelly Roll quilt
Here is a new idea - new for me - on making a jelly roll quilt. Many quilters have made the jelly roll race as well as a few variations there are with adding a block to change up the pattern slightly.
I have made a few jelly roll quilts and find that the size isn't as big as I would like. This pattern adds a strip of feature fabric in a big print to the center of a quilt and to an outside border. An easy way to enlarge the basic jelly roll race quilt. A pattern to think of when you see a jelly roll with a larger print you just love. The Wave Jelly Roll pattern is designed by Jenny Kae Quilts for Moda Bakeshop. The fabric is the Dear Mum collection is designed by Robin Pickens. I just discovered Robin Pickens. She has designed several patterns. While I like all of her patterns, my favourite pattern of hers is Harlequin. Robin has an interesting article on her blog about what goes into making a pattern.
